Volunteer Teachers / Interns

This is a new and exciting opportunity to volunteer in Yantai, Weihai, and Qingdao cities in Shandong Province. The majority of the positions currently available are located in Yantai, with an expanding number of positions available in Weihai and Qingdao.

No college degree is required for these positions, and this program does NOT require a one year commitment! Additionally, we are now able to offer internships at financial, travel, service, hotels, and other institutions in Yantai.

Most volunteers to this program are "gap year" students, retired professionals, working people on a break, and tourists interested in exploring Chinese culture.

Volunteers are offered an apartment,
3 meals per day in the school's dining facilities,
local sight-seeing and booking assistance,
local airport pick-up and drop off,
teacher orientation and
help with daily living.

Volunteers will teach conversational English for up to 16 hours per week at kindergartens, primary schools, junior high and senior high schools, as well as some vocational training colleges.

Yantai is a city of over 6.4 million people with 5 urban districts, with 7 "satellite" cities under its administration. It is located on the coast, and is close to the tourist hot-spot QingDao and its beautiful beaches!
